電影中的經典詩歌1—打不倒的勇者，遠離非洲，大國民

詩歌從來不屬於詩人，而屬於那些需要詩的人。

1 打不倒的勇者／ Invictus 2009

詩作標題「Invictus」是拉丁文，意思是不可征服，不可擊敗的，是1875年的殘障詩人威廉亨利創作的詩作。導演用「Invictus」來介紹曼德拉生平。曼德拉愛用這首詩與朋友分享他坐牢時的心情，也成為這部勵志電影的精神象徵。

In the fell clutch of circumstance

2 遠離非洲／ Out of Africa 1985

遠離非洲是大導演薛尼.波拉克改編自丹尼遜小說的經典愛情電影，配樂超級好聽（原來非洲與莫札特這麼合），女主角與男主角原是心靈伴侶，男主角卻因為不願意受到束縛而不願意娶女主角，在男主角飛機失事意外過世之後，女主角在他的喪禮上朗誦了A. E. Housman這首詩，劇終是生命的隕落，愛情卻如同非洲草原，不會因此而終結，永遠生生不息。

3 大國民／ Citizen Kane 1941

電影一開始從一座豪華無比卻有點像廢墟的園邸帶入，主人說了rosebud就斷氣了，接著在『News on the March』新聞專題裡，以『Xanadu’s Landlord』上都園主為題，播了一段記錄片，引言這樣說：“Legendary was the Xanadu, where Kubla Khan decreed his stately pleasure dome. Today almost as legendary as Florida’s Xanadu.”大意是說忽必烈建了傳奇的Xanadu，今天也有人在佛羅里達州建Xanadu。並說那是“Since the Pyramids, Xanadu is the costliest monument a man has built to himself.”意即Xanadu是金字塔以來最昂貴的私人園邸。最後帶出消息：“Here in Xanadu last week, Xanadu’s landlord was laid to rest. A potent figure of our century, America’s Kubla Khan: Charles Foster Kane.”原來這座Xanadu是故事主人翁凱恩所建，並稱他為美國忽必烈。
